My friend Monica (Mrs. Yoo’s niece. You may remember Mrs. Yoo from the journey into the mountains of Korea.) just sent me some old photos from when we first met. (I was in Kindergarten.) I don’t actually remember very much about our meeting, but I’m glad to have kept in touch with her over the years. Thanks, F-book!
Check out my awesome side-ponytail:

What hairstyles did you rock in your childhood?

best. side. ponytail. ever.
it looks like it just juts out from the side of your head
I was the pro of the tightly crimped hair. My mom and I would spend hours putting tiny tiny braids in my hair at night and then take them out in the morning, just so all of my teachers would ask ‘did you put your finger in the lightsocket?!’
you are too cute! I definitely rocked GIANT bangs. like my mom would curl half under and then spray the other half UP. awful, just awful.
You are so cute! Love that side ponytail!
I had BANGS. BANGS!!! Big puffy ones!!!
I did the big poofy bangs (curly hair, be damned!), as well as side ponytails and ridiculous crimpy hair. If I put tiny braids in before bed, I’d look like I stepped off the set of Punky Brewster. And I think I had a scrunchie to match every single one of my fashionable outfits (including all those fugly Scotty dog sweaters). Sadly, the 80s was probably the best decade for frizz-heads like me.
Face book is great for that kind of things. I try not to look at my old photos, they scare me
at least you were willing to do a ponytail! i refused to let my mom do ANYTHING with my hair. bethany always had cute curls, etc. while i rocked the unflattering bangs for quite some time.
love the side-pony. I remember thinking it was awesome when I had at least 2 different colored scrunchies to go with it. ohhh, good times in the 80s.
so I’m bummed you can’t run the mini. did you at least get your registration fee back? hope your bday weekend is spectac!!
